Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers were dispatched Tuesday Nov. 7, 2023 after it was reported shots were fired on the water near Rodriguez Key in the Florida Keys. They arrested a Key Largo fisherman after he reportedly fired a rifle twice across the bow of the commercial fishing vessel into the water on Tuesday.
FWC spokesperson reported the two fishermen were fishing close to each other about 7 miles off the coast of Rodriguez Key when a dispute broke out.
