Since 1975 the editors of National Fisherman have annually honored leaders in the U.S. commercial fishing community. The NF Highliners are, as the name implies, the best of the industry – not only at catching fish, but giving back far more to the community, America’s rich marine resources, and working to ensure their future. All of the 2022 winners have made these sorts of contributions in one way or another but the 2023 winners will be chosen and honored in a whole new way at Pacific Marine Expo this November.
Pacific Marine Expo is the largest commercial marine trade show on the West Coast, serving commercial mariners from Alaska to California. In 2022, thousands of attendees came out to Seattle to see what more than 500 exhibitors had to display, take part in free education sessions and network with contacts across the industry. This year, our Highliner Award nomination process will enable the entire community to submit and vote for 2023 winners that will be honored in a whole new way as part of the Pacific Marine Expo program.
