(Reuters) - Oyster harvesters and environmental groups on Thursday challenged federal approvals for a $2.9 billion wetlands restoration project in Louisiana, arguing the U.S. government failed to properly consider impacts the project could have on rare birds, turtles and other harms to the ecosystem before signing off on it.
