A lobsterman was allegedly found illegally trap fishing on the Shark River Reef in August, according to the New Jersey Conservation Officer's Association.
Lobster fishermen are not allowed to place pots on any of the artificial reefs in federal waters off the coast of New Jersey, the result of long standoff between commercial and recreational fishermen that ended in 2016.
