Fishing vessel Annika Scarlett was saved Tuesday morning after Narragansett, Rhode Island crews heard a call that the vessel was taking on water. Multiple pumps were used to get the water out of the boat, as it was in danger of sinking.
The call came in a little past 8 a.m., and crews from Narragansett Fire, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, and the United States Coast Guard worked together to save the boat.
AIS and VesselFinder reported 18 days ago that the 63-foot vessel was underway at 7.6 knots, and came into port on January 20, around 12 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and it’s to be determined why the vessel took on water.
