I’ve been fishing for 60 years. I still go out for snow crab and fish for cod around Square Islands.
When I started fishing, there were thousands and thousands of birds, whales and fish – everything was alive. What I see today is the ocean is slowly dying. Food for the ocean – forage fish like capelin – is disappearing.
