A bipartisan group of senators lead by Oregon senator Jeff Merkley raised concern over a decision made by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
The decision in question was the withdrawal of proposals to expand the Seafood Import Monitoring Program (SIMP).
